I struggle to focus enough to write this. It must be shared, but to be able to write I must push Him away long enough to form complete thoughts; to find the words to express those things which are too grand, too magnificent, too awe-inspiring for me to describe. Over and over I have torn away the words I have chosen, and lamented in my limitations, my greatest efforts equating miserable insults to His grandeur.
Intoxicating, overwhelming, suffocating, deep.
All of these are words used to describe an experience of magnificent proportions. Words that many, if not all of us, would like to be forced to pull out of our mental dictionary to describe our relationship with Jesus. Not just as a once in awhile occurrence, but rather to describe to others our ongoing, daily interaction with our Father.
Last week we talked about the importance of placing our finances in the Lord’s hands and recognizing that He owns it all. The reality is that, after following the voice of the Lord and giving of our finances, there should be some money left. I have talked to many people that were generous givers to the cause of Christ and were obedient to the voice of the Lord, but they couldn’t handle their remaining funds in ways that continued to glorify God.

Within the Christian community, specifically among high school, college aged, and young married individuals, there are some areas of concern where Satan has sought to blind our eyes. The enemy has sought to keep the church in financial bondage so that the members can’t be submissive to the Spirit’s leading. If Satan can constrict a believer while (s)he is young, it will make it much harder to overcome it later. Satan desires to keep him/her in financial bondage so that (s)he is unable to be responsive to the voice and the will of God.
