For Sale: The Anointing, and Power of God--Part 2

I struggle to focus enough to write this. It must be shared, but to be able to write I must push Him away long enough to form complete thoughts; to find the words to express those things which are too grand, too magnificent, too awe-inspiring for me to describe. Over and over I have torn away the words I have chosen, and lamented in my limitations, my greatest efforts equating miserable insults to His grandeur.

My usually large vocabulary has been reduced to simply “Jesus,” and as I become wholly cognizant of His Majesty; my priorities, my ambitions, my dreams, my entire world, fades into the wispy vapors of a dream, a fluttery mirage on a distant horizon by comparison to the concrete reality of His presence, His Word, His call, the knowledge of His plan for my life, in essence the simple reality of Him.

Daily Walks in Eden

I experience it somewhat regularly now, and I’m no longer limited to simple “one way” conversations; now He talks back and I can hear Him. We have talked of many things; everything from the stock market to the weather, my dreams and His. Like the time…

  • He told me to get out of the investments I was in, two weeks before they went belly up.
  • He told me the answer to healing on demand, which my wife applied when she was diagnosed with a “complex cyst” which had all the symptoms of being cancerous, and was declared “textbook perfect” by the surgeon seven days later in the pre-op exam, no treatment of any kind from the doctors, only observation and tests. Imagine the joy when the same doctor who gave the diagnosis said, stutteringly, that in more than 30 years of being a doctor she had never seen anyone be healed and recover like this, and then asked “What did you do?”.
  • He showed me a glimpse of the revival He wants to unleash. Truly, no eye has seen, no ear has heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the magnitude of the heart of God for the salvation of the lost, or the magnificent grandeur of His plan, His desire for the revival of His people. The vision was so awesome, I was left without the ability to speak for better than 36 hours, beyond “Great God!”, and “Wow!” except with much effort.

Some reading this will say I am exaggerating, that this is nothing more than a work of fiction, nothing more than a descriptive fantasy, or delusion. I understand. Much like those who said it was an impossible fantasy for man to fly, in the beginning I thought the same of these things too--until the day it happened to me.

When Delusion is Reality

I am not here to argue. If you say it is not possible, sadly, you are right; for you it is impossible. But, humor me and my delusions for just a moment, and answer one question: If I’m right, what would you pay for such a powerful relationship with God that His will for you ceased to be a mystery, where you had the specific answers to most all the problems in your life, where you got a “phone call” from Heaven to warn you that Satan was headed your way to give you trouble, or a heads up when your world was about to be turned upside down? Think about it for just a moment: if Jesus came to you right now and offered you the above, for a price, would you pay it? Is there any price too high?

The truth is that all this and much more is for sale. Jesus said,

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field” (Matthew 13:44).

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it” (Matthew 13:45-46).

I told you so.

So, what price are you willing to pay for it--$1,000? $10,000? $100,000? $1 million?
