Growing up attending Sunday school my entire life, I thought I knew the Bible well. Recently I have realized that I do not!
Have you ever had an experience that unexpectedly opened your eyes to who you are, and you found that you were sick and tired of yourself and completely ready to change? Recently I had that experience.

“And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
-II Timothy 4:4
(Editor’s Note: While this testimony is an amazing tribute to God’s goodness, we in no way wish to imply driving at night with little sleep will always result in a miraculous ending.)
It was an awful day at work! One of the nurses I work with was out for the rest of the week and the other was in a horrible mood. I had offered to help with everything she had to do, only to be answered with a very abrupt, “No, I'll do it.”
I had a rather inspiring conversation with one of my friends yesterday about reading the Bible versus studying the Bible. I realized that many times when I read my daily devotion that often I just skimmed over it or, quite honestly, zoned out. (Now, I know that none of you have ever done that, so you can’t relate at all.) Anyway, I decided that I was going to take the time to actually try to retain the information that I was reading. Last night, I went to the book of Galatians because I love the New Testament and the epistles of Paul. As I read, I was flooded with the following memories of my conversion and first year of Bible Quizzing.

My father, Bishop J.B. Lambeth, passed through the open door of eternity into heavenly bliss on March 10, 2006. A multitude of witnesses confirm he was a mighty man in Christ; I was honored to be his son. In addition to that, I was honored to be a living witness of his missionary ministry.

Well, it happened to me. The one thing that “would never happen to me—the “D-word.” You know what I mean, don’t you? Well maybe if I whisper it, it won’t sound so bad…ready? “ Divorce.” *GULP* Still sounds absolutely awful.

My name is Jana Floyd, and I formerly suffered from Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). My husband, Scott, and I attended the same Apostolic church from birth until we were 19 years old with our families. When we decided to attend another Apostolic church, to say that my family didn’t necessarily approve is the understatement of the year. Their belief that we were destined for hell because we no longer attended their church wreaked havoc on my life.
